Where to take the kids to tire them out: House of Air

Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets to attend, however, opinions are my own.

As a mom with 3 energetic children, I am always looking for new places to take my kids, so when we had the opportunity to visit House of Air we were so excited! A little run down on the facility-The House of Air is a 32,000 square foot playground filled with adrenaline activities for the whole family. Located about 15 minutes away from Carlsbad beach, House of Air is a place you have to include in your next family fun location. Their athletic and recreational facility is an open trampoline filled with non-stop jump time, aerial and physical training on trampolines, dodgeball, rock climbing, trampoline basketball, and other exciting recreation activities. They also cater to corporate events, including birthday parties, family events, and fundraisers. They are the perfect package when it comes to celebrations or for a fun day out with the family.

When we first arrived, we were blown away at how big the facility was. We checked in at the front desk and made sure all our waivers were signed before jumping. After everything was good to go, we received our socks and wrist bands and were on our way inside the facility with over an hour filled with adrenaline activities (perfect for any parent looking to tire out their kids)

We couldn’t decide what our favorite part of the trip was since there were many different activities for all of our kids to take part in. One of my favorite sections of House of Air was the Drop Zone, it is a 21 foot tower that allows for a free fall moment. Both of my children were scared to death, but somehow they overcame their fear and leaped off into a giant pit that secured their fall, it was seriously the best thing to watch.

The only downside was not having too many options when it came to our youngest who is 4 years old, so it was tough to make sure he was having fun and switching back and forth to my other children. Maybe on another day there would have been more kids his age.

Lastly my daughter decided to try rock climbing which was fun to watch since that is another fear of my kids. Being strapped at a high level can be intimidating but once again they managed to climb all the way to the top multiple times. My youngest was even able to participate in rock climbing, as long as he fit the harness properly, he ended up fitting perfectly and was able to experience the fun alongside his brother and sister. Our experience at House of Air was exciting, we had so much fun watching our kids enjoy all the activities and overcome a few of their fears.
